Palazzo di Varignana Brings Award-Winning Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil to the New York City
From the rolling hills of Bologna to the skyline of New York City, Palazzo di Varignana is weaving a story of heritage, wellness, and authentic Italian taste that transcends borders.
As our extra virgin olive oil and our philosophy of holistic living find their way into the heart of New York, we’re proud to celebrate the connection between our Italian roots and America’s love for quality, craftsmanship, and beauty in everyday life. We’re honored to have been featured in Patch New York, highlighting how Palazzo di Varignana bridges the beauty of our Italian estate with the vibrant culinary and wellness scene in New York City.
From the Hills of Bologna to the Heart of Manhattan
Palazzo di Varignana lies in the lush countryside just outside Bologna. Our journey to New York began with a desire to share our passion for our land, mre than 1700 acres of olive groves, vineyards and orchards. When we brought our italian olive oil to Eataly Flatiron in Manhattan, we wanted to share not just our products but also our story. Soon after, our Vargnano and Cabianca extra virgin olive oils were awarded the Gold Awards at the New York International Olive Oil Competition, and now we are honored to be ranked among the top 50 best olive oils in the world.
“Liquid Heritage” at Lucciola Restaurant
One of the most meaningful moments in this journey came through our collaboration with Chef Michele Casadei Massari, the visionary chef behind Lucciola Restaurant on New York’s Upper West Side. Chef Massari describes our olive oil as “liquid heritage”, a phrase that beautifully captures what we believe in. Each bottle of extra virgin olive oil from Palazzo di Varignana carries within it the story of our land, the care of our farmers, and the centuries-old Italian art of olive cultivation.
Bringing the Taste of Bologna to America
Our expansion into the U.S. market has allowed us to bring a piece of Bolognese heritage to American tables. Through partnerships, tastings, and collaborations, we continue to introduce New Yorkers to the true spirit of italian olive oil. Whether drizzled over a Caprese salad in Manhattan or enjoyed at our estate in Emilia-Romagna, each bottle carries the same promise of excellence, authenticity, and the pure taste of Italy.
Looking Ahead: Strengthening Our Transatlantic Bond
Our connection with New York continues to grow, look out for us at Eataly Flatiron this December where you can taste our products and experience the taste of Bologna in person.
